Heritage Grant Timeline
EMHR must suspend its Notice of Intent and Application Process for 2009-10 due to the unavailability of grant funding through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the elimination of the Heritage Area Program.
Please contact the EMHR office or refer to the agency website's News page for information on advocating for the reinstatement of funding in the state budget.
If and when we are able to resume the Heritage Area Program, EMHR will likely utilize the following timeline:
EARLY AUGUSTLetter and Notice of Intent Form mailed to prospective applicants.
OCTOBER 1
Notice of Intent (NOI) materials (hardcopy) due into EMHR’s office Project Review Committee screens NOIs for its report to the Board of Directors
3rd WEEK OF OCTOBER
Acknowledgement & Feedback on the NOI coordinated with each applicant. [Grant Applications mailed at this time.]
DECEMBER
Grant Information/Instructional Workshops All first-time applicants must attend a workshop in order to be eligible to submit an application.
3rd WEEK OF FEBRUARY
GRANT APPLICATION DUE INTO EMHR’s OFFICE
MARCH
Project Review Committee meets to review the full applications, rank order them by type, and prepare its recommendations to the Board for approval at its April meeting.
APRIL
Approved list of prospective grant applications is submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for final selection.
